Why use the Levelok Open Rung Ladder Standout Bracket?
Ladder standoff brackets are great- instead of being right up on a surface such as a window, they allow you that extra foot or so of clearance so that you can easily work around such obstacles. Additionally, when climbing up on roofs, these ladder standoffs give much more stability and safety than resting your ladder against slippery gutters. Even the potentially dangerous transition from the ladder to stepping onto the roof is made much less problematic by resting the ladder standoff right on the roof as you can see from the picture above.
More than that, this sturdy aluminum bracket gives much more stability than just using your ladder alone. Why? Because the center of gravity of the ladder is spread out to almost twice as much of the width of the ladder-the ladder standoff extends 12 inches beyond each side of the ladder.
