Next, spray down you car with your cleaning detergent. Keep the tip of the pressure washer 3 or more feet from your car’s surface. If you need more cleaning power, you can always move in a little closer, but do this with care. You can cause permanent damage to you vehicles finish if you hold the tip of the pressure washer gun to close to your car. Never use a 0 degree tip on your pressure washer gun to clean your vehicle.
Tips for applying cleaning chemicals:
Apply the car wash chemical to a section of you vehicle at a time. Start from the bottom of your vehicle can work up to the top in applying the cleaning chemical. Use an overlapping pattern to cover the entire surface of your vehicle. Don’t forget to apply cleaning chemical to the tires, wheel wells and other harder to reach areas. 5 or so minutes after you spray on the cleaning chemical, you’re ready for the rinse-off.
Final Rinse:
Start at the top of the vehicle and work your way down until there is not more detergent on you car. Never keep the tip of the gun in one spot while cleaning-it will damage the finish. After final rinse, turn off and store your pressure washer according to the manufacturer’s direction. Never rinse your hands or any other part of your body with the pressure washer- it has the power to easily tear your skin right off!
